Central North Carolina Chapter
When fires, floods, and other natural or man-made disasters occur, the Red Cross is there. Assisting the friends, families, and neighbors in Durham, Granville, Orange, Person and Vance counties, we provide affected families with emergency food, clothing, shelter, and prescription medication after a disaster. We also work to help you prevent, prepare for, and respond to disasters.
The Central NC Chapter is a private charitable organization and receives no government funding. We are dependent on and grateful for your support to continue our life-changing work.
On January 1, 2010, the Central North Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross joined forces with the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross. The new five-county service area includes Durham, Granville, Orange, Person and Vance counties. Because the chapter now serves five counties, Central North Carolina Chapter will remain the Chapter’s name.

Our Mission
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are consistent with its Congressional Chapter and the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement.
